Podcasts

who out there listens to podcasts? I know I do. and I fucking love them. what is it about a podcast that is so awesome? I think it has something to do with hearing someone literally inside your head talk (I basically only listen to them on my iPod which is an altogether amazing experience in and of itself!). that’s all it is for me. it sort of scratches that bug about theatre I like so much. the one where I get to hear or understand something from someone else’s perspective.

I listen to this podcast called The Ricky Gervais Show, which is just Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, and Kyle Pilkington talking about useless drivel and random bullshit — and it’s absolutely thrilling and enthralling! why is that? granted, these are 3 of the funniest people in the world — Stephen and Ricky are the creators of the hit British tv show “The Office” and “Extras” — but, yet, in their podcast they aren’t particular doing comedy. I think it’s just the form that kicks so much ass.

what sort of things do you like about podcasts?

I’m curious to hear what the millions of adoring Sandbox fans out there think of podcasts, and especially what they like/dislike about them. . . Sandbox has been considering taking our method of site-specific work to the podcast world, and we’d surely love to hear what other people think would make good site-specific podcasts!

tell us what you think, people.
